Owned and operated by Dev and Joanne McIntyre since October 2008, Salt Spring Vineyards produces several varietals of wine, including an award-winning Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, a champagne style wine, and a variety of blends. Dev and Jo developed their wine appreciation with holidays in the wine countries of Italy, France and Spain; and also joined several cellar clubs and wine societies. Closer to home they organized a group of friends into a food and blind wine tasting club, which has been meeting 4 times a year for over 30 years! They are dedicated and enthusiastic about producing excellent coastal wines, while advocating sustainability for their environment and their community.

Known to islanders as Blackberry Port, this 16% alcohol wine is a long standing favourite. A pound of wild handpicked blackberries goes into every bottle. Imagine the flavour of a perfect blackberry…then bottle it.

Salt Spring Vineyards Karma is made with estate grown Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes using the “method champenoise”. Fine bubbles, a dry clean taste and an aroma of biscuity baked bread.

This blend of Salt Spring grown red grapes of Leon Milot and Pinot Noir is perfect with grilled meats and chicken. An elegant, lightly oaked red, it has a spicy finish and offers aromas of plum and black current.

~2017 PINOT GRIS~
This dry fruity white wine is perfect with shellfish – think oysters and crab – or a nice fillet of fish. The wine is partially oak fermented to increase flavour and “mouth feel”, which also balances the citrus and peach notes of this wine.
